External HD Won't Show Anymore

Hello,

maybe somebody can help me..

i'm using powerbook G4 running latest version of Tiger,
i bought an EZ Quest Monsoon Slim FW/USB2 HD..
i mainly use this for iTunes Mp3's and backing up Logic files,

for some reason my powerbook won't recongnize the HD anymore,
i called apple care and they said it's an isssue with the external, i can't find a support number for EZ Quest.. can anybody help me??

When you open Apples Disc Utility, does the HDD show up there? Have you tried a new/different USB cable between the Mac and the HDD? Do have another machine you can try to hook the HDD up to and try it?
