I purchased a snow leopard upgrade to my MacBook pro OxS 10.5.8 and while installing i get disk error. Tried cleaning it and got same error. I asked supplier to send a new disk and again I am getting same error to clean disk. I am beginning to think its not the disk. Any suggestions?

It's probably your optical drive that's causing the error. It may have dust or dirt on the lens. Buy a can of compressed air at Radio Shack or any other store that sells computer accessories and blow a few short blasts into the open drive slot. That may or may not work. If it doesn't work, the drive will likely have to be replaced.
