Hey I just noticed my fans are running like crazy and the cpu usage is really high and I'm only running Google Chrome, Firefox(1 tab), Skype, and Mail. Also, I just reset SMC.

Ok. Everything seems back to normal after I uninstalled and reinstalled Skype. Are these Disk Activity pictures normal?

I would worry less about the Disk Activity and more about the CPU tab. You don't want to see any application taking over a 100% of CPU usage for any extended period of time. High CPU usage for short bursts is one thing, but sustained will cause the CPU to heat up and the fans to start up in response to that..

So should I be worried? It's not doing it anymore but I am a little paranoid now that it happened.

Not at all, apart from Skype freaking out, everything else worked as expected. the CPU got hot, and the fans came on to take care of it. This prompted you to explore Activity Monitor, find the culprit and whip it back into shape..

Nothing to be paranoid about..
