Hey,

It seems as though this forum is heavily biased in the favour of US mac users but I have noticed a few UK users on here.. So arms aloft and lets see who you are and where you are from.

So I will start off by saying that I am based on the Yorkshire/Lancashire border so its good news for the trafford centre/meadowhalll stores just being opened..

I have been using macs for about 2 years now so not a newbie but probably still have a lot to learn..

Anyway, I hope this post gets some responses...

I've been on Macs all my life but I've just recently got rid of all the PCs in my life (yes amazingly even at work).

yea im not too bad with them thanks but using winblows and linux and a mixture of stuff inbetween has helped with the knowledge.
We also have a great team so we can support each other when our own knowledge runs out

Hey there :)

I’m from Doncaster (South Yorkshire) But am currently living in Hull as I'm at University here (Lincoln University's Hull Campus) Studying BA(Hons) Interactive Multimedia.

I only really started using MAC when I came to University; my first Apple product was an iPod Mini which I bought just before starting Uni. It then progressed to a 12" iBook G4 and now a 20GB iPod Photo which has replaced my mini. My course is mainly Mac based, with a studio full of power Macs.

I have been using MAC now for about 2 years and still have loads to learn but I must say, I love it! And as soon as I can afford it I’m going to get myself a 17" iMac G5 ;)

I still use Windows a lot because with my course, and the nature of designing for web/CD and game based content things have to be cross platform so it pays to keep in toe with both Mac and Windows platforms as they are the main two we design for.

Anyways, Thats me!

Regards,

Chris.

Hey, its great knowing that there is a uk presence on the forum. Is anybody part of a mac user group?

I was thinking of maybe trying to start an online one up? If anybody thinks it is a good idea, I would love to try and get something going?
