Peek-A-Boo

The lighting outside was grand today so I had no problems capturing a few keepers. Our male lion was keeping a vigilant watch on his kingdom as he relaxed on his favorite rock. D800, Nikkor 24-70 F/2.8 FX.




This Colobus monkey seemed at ease with me but still kept a wary eye.

Nice work, the lion almost looks the same texture as the rock, do you work in a zoo?

Actually I'm retired and have an annual membership that lets me enter any day of the year for a $50 a year fee. It's just 12 miles from my apartment so I visit a lot when the weather is good. Free subject matter is tough to come by so close to home. Every visit is different as different animals are out & about and seem to "pose" for me when I'm the first through the gate.
