I am using iMovie to make small movies and want to watch them both on computers and mobile devices. Through trial and error, when I export the movie and pick "large" the file is saved as a .m4v file
However, if I choose an HD version of the movie when I export, the file is saved as a .mov file
When the video then uploads to youtube the .m4v file is able to be viewed "everywhere" when I look under advanced setting and syndication. But for the .mov file, under syndication it reads "No, this video should not be available on mobile phones and TV. "
Can someone give me a suggestion? I want to export the movie as the highest quality possible. If I save it as HD it seems like it automatically saves the file as a .mov and therefore it can't be viewed on mobile phones. I have tried viewing it on a IPAD and that won't work either?
Any suggestions?
Thank you
Steven
