I recently upgraded from 4gb to 8gb memory on my 2010 15" MacBook Pro; I run bootcamp & attemted to restart in Windows 7; result was a blank screen...what do I need to do in order to run windows 7 with upgraded memory?

Way... way too many specs to list.
Does the Mac boot to OSX? I've upgraded memory on Windows machines, and never had to do anything to get it to work. It's either addressed, or it isn't.

Yes

When first installed it booted into OSX...then I chose to re-boot into windows thru bootcamp. I have since re-installed old memory & it works fine (i.e. boots in both operating systems). Not sure, but assuming need to configure new memory to operate windows...any suggestions?

You shouldn't have to configure anything. Either the memory is not compatible or one of the modules is marginal or defective. Whether you're booting into Windows or OS X should make no difference, the machine is still a 2010 MacBook Pro. Return the modules and buy new ones from Crucial or OWC.
