Time Machine Sparsebundle In Use

Has anyone had the problem of not being able to backup to Time Machine because Sparsebundle was in use with Mountain Lion 10.8? I cannot seem to get my backup to work again. It's always saying it's in use by another program, but I can't find out which program it is. The below link didn't seem to help much and must be for an older version of IOS.
