Hi

I know that putting MP3s from some of my CDs onto my iBook will take up Hard Drive space. But what I was wondering was that does putting MP3s onto your Hard Drive actually make the iBook operate slower?

As a rule of thumb, you should always have 10% of your drive free. If your mp3s are on there, and you still have 10% free, you should not notice a difference in performance.

They won't make the computer run slower, but the larger your iTunes Library, the slower iTunes will run. It starts to slow down around 20,000 songs or so.
