express with multifunction printer

I'm considering the airport express for my home but have one question. When connecting my multifunction printer will I be able to scan documents and send them to my computer or does the express only work the other way (computer to express to printer). My printer is a lexmark x1195, just a cheap multifunction. I'm not even sure if it will be compatible. Does any one know of any up to date list of supported printers. Thanks in advance for any info you can provide for me.

Remote multifunctions usually (remotely) print ok but scanning is best left to a connected printer.
