Hello,

I getting a new MBP next week and I have an iMac bought last year. I heard the new Mac comes with lion but will give me a free update to ML. My question is can I use that update for my iMac also? Or do I have to purchase a separate copy of ML?

Thanks!

Not sure - But I think when I bought my MBA last year, once I had registered the OS on it to my Apple ID, I was able to then use the same Apple ID to upgrade my other machines.

Redeemed Mountain Lion on my new iMac and was advised for this model only so who knows? For $20 would not muck about with it.
