Up Arrow and not being able to log in? Macbook pro ( Sleep Mode)

So I was trying to log in my macbook pro which was in sleep mode but then oddly enough I couldnt log in and there was a up arrow next to my name and I had to restart my mac to log in

Wow I really must have asked a neewwbiee question, if it helps my screen saver wasnt there either, just this gray backround

In your first post you didn't ask a question, just stated a fact. Ditto for the second post. From the first post, you seemed to have solved it by restarting, so there doesn't seem to be anything to solve at this point. Hence, no comments until now.
