I have a MacBook and I'm running OSX 10.5.8. I'm not sure when I got this computer, sometime in 2008. Can I upgrade the operating system to Mountain Lion? If not, can I upgrade to anything else or am I at the limit of upgrades for this computer. Would any operating system upgrades be useful? I'm not planning on buying another new computer for a while yet.

I dont have your computers exact model, so I am guessing it could be upgraded to Lion

It may be able to run Mountain Lion but only late model 2008 MacBooks can run it.

Apple should be selling the older OS so you should be able to purchase Lion from Apple’s “legacy products list” by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. Let us know if this works, the info would be useful
