Do you think Apple will ever allow Safari to become open source for users to change the look and add customizable features to benefit each user? Has Apple even discussed that?

Doubtful. Apple has never been open source and I can't think of any reason why they would switch. They pay people to develop the programs, they aren't just going to put out the code so people can alter it how they want

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Apple has ever open-sourced anything (except Darwin but that was already open). Even if I am wrong, I doubt that Safari will ever be open source.

I doubt that will happen. Still there are ways you can add some abilities to the browser through add-ons on the web. Also, some people tried changing the theme. Go to this site .
