hotmail accounts

hi this is my first message on my new imac g5 w/ isight. im trying to get my hotmail account to work with mail, but i dont think it supports hotmail. are there any email programs that support hotmail? thanx in advance.

There is no way to access Hotmail via POP3 access....in other words, you can't use an email client like Mail to accept email from your Hotmail account....at least not for free. There are apps and add-ons that will allow it, but you have to pay for them. I suggest doing a Google search if you are interested in purchasing one of them.

http://www.automagic-software.com/products.php is a link for an HTTP-Mail plugin for Mail.APP. You can use this for Hotmail, gmail and yahoo mail etc.

Works great and is Open Source.

Thank's, after 6 months with the Mac, I finally found this. Makes me a happy guy! Works like a Champ

I've tried that plugin and it doesn't work for me. It prompts me to pay...

If I were you I'd just switch to a gmail account or something else of the sort.
