Hey everyone, new to the mac world so i might be missing something simple. But I've used bootcamp to setup windows vista on my macbook pro. the setup went fine and windows is ready to go. But i made a drivers disk using bootcamp for windows since my macbook didn't come with an installation disk. I try to run the driver disk while in windows and i get the D drive error "application can't run because of side by side configuration"

It might be an issue that bootcamp says create drivers for windows 7, while I've setup a vista.

Which Mac do you have? Take note that the late 2010, all 2011, and 2012 Macs can only run Windows 7. You can not run Vista or XP as there are no drivers. You can, however, run Vista in a virtual machine using Parallels, Fusion, or the free VirtualBox.
