connecting mac mini

just ordered my other half a mac min 2011 model
comes with the a dvi to hdmi lead
im a bit confused . on how to connect to tv or monitor

1 ) will it connect to a tv with hdmi from mac to hdmi tv
2 ) the lead that is supplied, the dvi to hdmi. i take it hdmi to to mac and dvi to a monitor that has dvi connector

3 ) using normal vga monitor is it the mini display to vga lead that i need

The older Mac Mini's came with only the DVI connector, but came with a DVI->HDMI adapter if you wanted to connect to a monitor that only supported HDMI.

The new Mac Mini's comes with HDMI instead. So you will connect that directly to your monitor without the need for any adapter.

the pc monitor is vga only but we have a 22 inch tv that we may be able to use instead
