Running a 5-year-old black MacBook on OSX 10.5.8 Leopard. Have reluctantly decided to upgrade. What would be the best and most cost-effective way to upgrade to Mountain Lion?

Thanx.

You can't upgrade to Mountain Lion because your Black MacBook is using an Intel GMA X3100 graphics chipset which is not compatible. The highest you can go is Lion. Personally, I would opt for Snow Leopard which will run a lot faster and better on that machine than Lion.
