Do the batteries in the macbook pros (2012) Have a memory effect like the old nickle based batteries?

2017 15" MBP, 16gig ram, 1TB SSD, OS 10.15
Apple laptops use lithium ion (LiIon) batteries...no memory effect. Macintosh laptops have not used nickel cadmium or nickel metal hydride batteries for a long time.
