Hello,

I have waited over 72 hours and still no Mountain Lion code for the App Store. I submitted the request and filled out the form. I called Apple Care Support and they said the code was sent to the email. I checked it and there was no email, even the spam folder and trash had nothing from Apple (I have no filters for email). So, I thought about changing the email address on file, but that was a pain since I had to call Apple Care again and request an email change and have waited over 24 hours and still no response. I registered the Macbook with my parents email (they purchased it as a gift) and used the same email for the Up to Date program. My App Store email is my own personal email.

I have decided I will buy Mountain Lion right now, dispute the charge and the problem is solved. Should have done this in the first place. Upgrading should not have to be this much of a hassle.

Took precisely four days. When you say filled out the form, scanned and emailed the purchase invoice?

No, I didn't have to scan in a receipt at all. The serial number was the only thing they really needed for proof of purchase. They can check it with the records at their store too.

If at first you don't succeed, try try again. Mine came back in less than an hour.

You can't. If you fill out the form again the system will recognize the serial number has already been activated with a Mountain Lion code. Apple isn't that stupid.

Had to supply the serial number and a .jpeg copy of the invoice. Sure you did not miss it?

No, I went through the entire process and it gave me a claim reference number at the end. So, I just got off the phone with a Senior Vice President of Apple Care Tech Support and basically, they can't do anything, which means [email protected] is my only hope
