Can't get it from App Store. Here's the error message:

"The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed."
I've done all the usual things - restart, etc, including checking my calendar, date, and time.

Help please?

It sounds like you received a bad download, possibly with CRC errors which is why it couldn't be verified. You can try downloading it again, however, if the same error occurs, it might be best to go to your local Apple store and have them download a copy for you.

Thank you, for taking the time to reply. The problem was the App Store sent me an error message before I could even download anything. The error message prevented the download. But.. after 2 hours on the phone with a very dedicated and determined Christine at Apple Care, she fixed it. Apparently one can not download Mountain Lion from the App Store if you have Intego's Banner Block on, which I did. Once I turned off the Banner Ad Block, I was able to download. Very odd, but apparently others are having the same issue.

OK, thanks for clarifying that. I thought from your first post that you had a bad download. Anyway, glad things worked out for you. Enjoy your new copy of Mountain Lion. :)

I think I saw that error also, when Mountain Lion hit the App Store but wasn't quite download ready. I don't have Intego software installed.

Try removing Intego not just the Ad Banner blocking portion of it. You don't need it anyway since there are no Mac viruses in the wild that can infect your Mac. There are Trojans but they can be avoided with sensible computing.
