QuickSilver G4 boots to flashing folder with Faces and Question Mark, Disk drive does not show up in Startup Manager, change drive, cable, still no show. tried using install disk 1 for IMAC, but it just hangs at the Grey Screen with the Apple logo. Downloading Techtoolpro to checkout the disk drive next, I also tried using the OpenFirmWare, but I don't know many commands and strangely enough I'm not able to find a list on the Web.

This is the problem...those gray disks are model specific. They will only work on the iMac they shipped with...not a 'Quicksilver" Powermac G4. You need a genuine OS install disk for the OS version you want to install (e-Bay).
