Can I hook up a Macbook pro and an older monitor and PC so I can use one keyboard and one mouse and use both computers with the Macbook pro lid down? I used a KVM switch some years ago on 2 PCs but times have changed. Macbook Pro is running Lion, and IMac is on Leopard. Is this a problem? Will appreciate advice or anything to watch out for.

Are you trying to control a PC from your MacBook Pro, or control an iMac from your MacBook Pro?

MacBookPro to Imac and MacBookPro to PC. I have two homes with different setups. Thanks.

Ok, For the MBP to iMac, I'd recommend the app Teleport. I've used it quite a bit with my media center. As for the MBP to PC, I'm not sure, I haven't had any experience trying.

PS. It's easier for everyone if you just reply to this thread instead of sending messages to me.
