Upgrading Processor

I have a Early 2011 MBP I just upgraded to 8gb of RAM and was wondering if I could upgrade my processor as well and if so how much. I've seen posts from 2010 and back saying that the processor is soldered in is this still the case? thanks.

Nope can't do it. This has been the case with just about every laptop model Apple has ever released since the early 1990's. And this is something you will find very rare in the Windows laptop world as well.

The last Apple laptop model I can remember with an upgradeable cpu...was the Powerbook 1400...from back around 1997-1998.
