So this morning i installed mountain lion on my macbook and it said it was complete with the green check sign and everything, the only problem is it never fully booted, i get the apple loading screen then it restarts and says there was a problem and your system has restarted. It has been doing this for the past half hour. I ran disk utility to verify and repair disk but the disk is ok. Any ideas or suggestions on a fix?

Have you tried booting into Recovery Mode, or won't it let you get that far?

You may have to reinstall then. It sounds like something in the installation didn't finish. Do you have another computer around? You can try pulling the hard drive out and connecting it to another computer and see if there is anything on it. You won't be able to tell if the entire OS is there, but if need be, you may be able to save your data.
