Can't download Mountain Lion from App Store

When I try to purchase ML I get the following error message

`The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed'

This doesn't happen when I update other software, for example I updated iPhoto.

I have ensured my software is up to date (I had been preparing for ML) and performed all the verifications etc through disk utility.

I have seen comments that suggest this is a problem with the App store and to delete the app store but I can't understand how this is possible.

Give it time. Massive downloads reported at the moment.

I was trying to get it down every ten to fifteen minutes from 14.00 to 17.30 hrs today. I eventually managed. I think it due to the server demand.

I am pretty sure it's a server issue. Hang in there and I am sure it will start eventually.

By the way, all this was typed with dictation in Mountain Lion!

I haven't managed to get that working yet but I,m working on it. ?
