When people tell me that they've changed their e-mail address I alter it in my address book but the old address often comes back when I enter their name.

I can only think that, because e-mails from their old address have been filed, these are still being picked up.

Does anyone have any ideas about this?

Under Mail's "Window" menu drop down click on "Previous Recipients" and delete any address you don't want

Removing redundant e-mail addresses

It's over a year since you replied and I had quite forgotten until I did a search truth previous threads started by me.

Very useful. Many thanks.

The way to avoid "forgotten" threads you started is to subscribe.... ;)
