macbook pro crash

Hi everyone,

My macbook pro crashed this past weekend. i have the mac osx snow l, disk installer.

My issue is that i have files on my macbook that I can not lose.
i have with me a mac mini no screen or keyboard, is there any way i can transfer all the files to my mac mini from my macbook pro? from the installer section on the macbook pro.

How did the MacBook Pro crash? Did it crash once only, and is it now OK? If not, what were the symptoms, kernel panic, not booting, video distortion and freezing, hard drive clicking?

The Mac Mini system unit is of no use to you without a keyboard and firewire cable, there's no way you can start it in target firewire mode to use as an external hard drive if that was your aim.
