I have been trying to drag files to a 750 zip for saving as backup, but I keep getting an error code of -36. What is this? and why do I get it. I don't have a problem with burning a disk with the same files. These files are stored on my external hard drive. I didn't have this problem with these files on my G4 powerbook running Panther, but now I have a iMac G5 with Tiger.

Is this an internal or external drive? Checked all the connections/wires? Can you copy FROM a Zip disk?

Try doing a repair disk from a booted system install CD on your hard drive. Also repair permissions (just in case).

Another member here asked you if you could copy files OFF zip disks to your hard drive. Did you check that?
