You usually don't archive a single e-mail, but if you must absolutely save a single one, then you can open it and save it as a PDF file and then archive that file.

If you're using a desktop mail application, like Apple's Mail or Microsoft Outlook, just drag them to a folder on your computer.
If you read your mail through a web service, like Gmail or Hotmail, you'll probably have to print them to PDFs as above.
