I'm in the market for a new router, and since I'm getting a Macbook Pro here soon I thought I might as well get the Airport base station. But I'm not sure which to get. I have 2 PC's that use our internet (3 right now since I don't yet have my Mac) but I'm not sure what the differences are between the Extreme and Express stations. Could someone enlighten me, please? Thanks!

Go right to the source for best information: LINK Click on each unit in turn and read the specs and what they're capable of.

I did LOL But I don't see any differences. I figured I'd come here as i assumed you all would know and could tell me. The only thing I noticed as far as differences was that the Extreme has 4 ports whereas the Express has one. The other one is for the modem I think.

Airport is just another router and will do no better, nor no worse, than other brands on the market. Look for a 902.11N modem/router as a single unit, such as Linskys or Netcomm.

Ok, I'll do that then. Thanks :)

I will probably get another linksys since our last one (current one) has lasted so long. It's lasted probably 10 years without problems. Thanks.
