Cover Lock on/off for Versavu

I just purchased the Targus Versavu for my iPad3. I have the cover lock/unlock switched to on. It does turn on the ipad when I open it and shuts off the ipad when I close the cover, but sometimes when I go to put it in my bag I notice it has turned on again. Is that normal? I have the auto lock set to 2 minutes, so perhaps it won't make a difference in battery life, but I wonder if I should be concerned. Should I just set it to off and manually turn it off and on?

I don't exactly trust any of those covers that purport to turn on or turn off my 3rd Generation iPad. I bought the Apple cover and the back protector and have noticed the same thing as you. I now turn it off manually when I store it or carry it.

As long as you don't keep 4G active (if you have it) the battery will hold a charge for a long time so I guess it should be OK to keep it on.
