I am trying to type into the command-line in the terminal when I boot my Mac in single-user mode.

First, I shut down your Mac. I turn it back on & press the power button to start. Then I immediately press & hold the Command key along with the "s" key. This opens single-user mode which looks like a terminal command line. In the command-line prompt, I need to type /sbin/fsck -fy I will then be in interactive mode to repair the disk & when it's fully repaid with no errors, I need to type reboot & then press enter.

When I boot my computer, I can get the terminal but I cannot figure out how to type on the command-line. Typing on the keyboard doesn't work & I can't figure out what to do to input text. Please help!?

Your Mac's Specs
Way... way too many specs to list.
Bluetooth keyboard? If so try a USB one.
