Recently bought an external Seagate 3TB hard disk to consolidate my external files. Having trouble copying over from an older external disk. It will start copying then hang after sometime. I have to do a forced stop on FINDER to exit the copying. I started by trying to copy all the files and then kept trying all the way down to a 225 GB folder. I tried it about 3 times. It got almost all the way through that folder but hung towards the end. Is there any constraints to copying I should know. I left the new external in MSDOS FAT format since it said read/write. Any ideas?
