Ok so heres the deal, just got a powerbook g4 with a bad hdd. replaced it and got a bootable usb stick from a friend that has leopard on his macbook pro. I power up with usb stick in the powerbook and all i get is a flashing question mark in a folder. Tried to boot in recovery by pressing and holding control and r but nothing comes up but that folder. New to macs and im completely clueless on what to do. also this is a full retail ver. as what i have been told.

Sorry...but trying to install the Leopard (OS 10.5) OS via a USB stick is an unacceptable method. We do not discuss this activity on Mac-Forums.

You MUST use a retail install disk. e-Bay is your best bet to get an "Official" retail install disk for OS 10.5 Leopard.

p.s. By the way. Back on July 4th you were given the same advice...buy a retail 10.5 install disk!
