cannot download software

Just bought iMac OS X 10.7.4 and cannot download software. Understand may be problem with 32 vs 64 bits, but have tried with both and still cannot download any software. Maybe problem is with Lion and I have to reinstall...but came with computer so will have to buy? Or maybe with internet connection itself? Any ideas, anybody. thx

You need to elaborate a bit, you cant download software or cant install it?

THere is no issue with 64 or 32 bit software since OSX deals with both seamlessly, Lion is a 64 bit OS that can run 32 bit and 64 bit programs

Are you trying to run .exe programs?
