I have a MacBookAir with Snow Leopard

I have a Library folder off my HD, and another under USER. They are both about 5GB, and the content of these folders seem very similar.

I'm looking to free up some HD space, and was wondering if two Libraries is normal.

Dont touch either of them, that's part of a UNIX os to have a user library folder and a root library folder

Yes, it is normal. In fact, you should have more that two of them - one at /System/Library, one at /Library and one in each user's home directory. Do not delete any of them because if you do, you'll be asking a lot more questions around here. ;)

Here's a nice description of the differences between all of them.

Or, from the top... /Library and /System/Library and /Users/You/Library

Sorry; the sequence brought out my OCD. ;)
