For the life of me I can't figure out why this is happening. Hope someone here can shed some light.
My MBA recently has been starting up lately with the System Preferences opened.
It's more of an annoyance to have to close the window or quit it each time it boots up or restarts.
I've gone thru and removed all the "saved application states", nothing on the startup or login items for the user, and restore windows when quitting is turned off.
This just started happening out of the blue - not sure if something was clicked on by accident but I just want it turned off!

While it is open, click and hold on the System Preferences icon in the dock. You'll see "options." Move the mouse to that. Does "open at login" have a checkmark next to it? If it does, select it to uncheck.
