Hello all I've looked online but haven't found much on this, if anyone could shed some light into this I'd really appreciate it.
I have a video card in my Windows PC that supports multiple displays, but my desk area only has enough room for a single monitor. So I was thinking when necessary, why not use my macbook air as a second monitor while propped up on the table area. My graphics card, FirePro V3800, has both a display port and DVI. So I'd hook up a DVI cable to my monitor, and the display port cable via thunderbolt to the macbook air (its the 2011 one BTW). I'd have to turn on the macbook air I'd assume because there no way the display port would draw power to the macbook air. Anyway my question is would this work? Thanks.
