I am preparing a Mac Mini to ship to my parents (who are totally oblivious to tech/computers) so need to make everything work good before I send it over.
One issue I have run into is with webcams on my MBP where the webcam won't auto adjust brightness when using Skype or GTalk if I moved from a well lit area to not so well lit. The same webcam works well on Windows and does all the auto adjusting. The webcam I tested is "Creative Live! Cam Socialize HD AF 720P".
Not sure if it is an issue specific to Creative or 3rd party webcams in general. Is there a model/brand you know that works well with OSX + Skype/GTalk?
