What videos are you trying to play? Is this a new Mac? Did the videos play before?

Can't properly answer your question...without knowing what model Mac you have, and what OS version it's running.

Do you have the latest version of "Flash" installed?

Did you do any purposeful or accidental deleting of system/OS files recently?

Are you trying to watch videos from a specific website? If so...which website? Knowing the website may help.

Adobe flash is not installing into Applications - only uninstall in utilities-it's on screen and in
Finder.
The videos i am trying to watch are from igb.ie and site says use Opera browser and
Flip4Mac both installed but still don't work

Do you have Perian installed? That enables Quicktime to play just about anything.
Perian - The swiss-army knife of QuickTime® components

Scroll down the page below the Notice.

Many thanks to those who offered help. After trying to resolve the issue i decided it would be better to re-install and that i did yesterday.Today the laptop is in full working condition so i can watch the videos again, many thanks

I had the same issue but with different version of OS... and the problem disappeared when re-installed the player..
I can't understand why this is happening, but I'm happy that it is solved...
