imac 20" harddrive

I have managed to get into and remove the hard drive from my late 2006 imac 20". i have contacted a few vendors who are saying i can't purchase a drive but they will happily fit it - for upwards of £240.

Is there somewhere in the uK i can just buy a 500/1tB drive ? What sort of price should I pay. Is there an issue over the heat sensor I need to look out for?

Have you actually checked out the hard drive retailers on eBay.com.uk? Here is one to get you started. Your main problem will be getting a SATA drive if the iMac is SATA and not SATA !!.
