This has happened to me a number of times: I record a TV show/movie. I edit out the commercials, etc with iMovie and then export to iDVD for burning. Keeping the movie at it's highest quality, it comes in at 4.3 Gig and although my blank DVDs says it holds 4.7 Gig, iDVD only says there are 4.2 Gig for recording. I know I can encode at a lower setting so it fits, but I really would like to keep quality as high as possible. Is there any app out there that would let me shave a few hundred Mb so that I could squeeze it on to a single sided DVD?
