Hi - I have a 2 x 2.66 Dual Core G5 Powermac that needs a new ethernet port fitting as the original two ports have stopped working. Can anyone suggest what I should be looking for as I'm a bit confused as to what is compatible i.e PCI/PCI-X/PCI-Express. Any help suggestions would be much appreciated.

Do a search for the Netgear GA311

This is where I'm confused - after intial searching a person on another site had suggested a Netgear GA311 so I purchased one - but it doesn't seem to fit into any of the slots - could this be because it's PCI and not PCI-X?

There is no 2.66GHz G5. Sure this is not an iMac Dual Core?

The PCI slots with the battery enclosure sure looks like a Mac Pro. If so G5 cards will not work.
