Hello

first of all, thank you very much for reading this!

I'm having a problem with my macbook 6,1 (2009) since a week or. The screen will show vertical lines like in this picture here (Mac OS X 10.4.7 Special Report: MacBook (13'): Vertical multi-colored lines at startup after Mac OS X 10.4.7 update | MacFixIt - CNET Reviews) that will disappear when I change the position of the screen slightly (gently finetuning). It looks like a contact has come loose, as I can make the lines appear and disappear by simply changing the angle of the screen. It is definitely not the vertical lines issue that is described in the link above. Do you know whether this is a known problem?

Thank you very much and best regards!

Very likely a loose or defective video cable which connects the logic board to the display. If you're handy at taking things apart, you can check that cable to see if it's loose. It could also be pinched depending on the angle of the display top.

See the step by step instructions which can be found at iFixit: The free repair manual.

Thank you very much for your help! Unfortunately, I don't think I will be able to do this by myself :( Will probably have to pay someone to fix my macbook.
