iBook cd rw not working

If the optical drives on the two iBook machines are not working, you can try cleaning them with a can of compressed air. Blow a couple of blasts into the drives. If that doesn't help, you probably need to replace the drives or buy an external drive. (Needs to be firewire as you can not boot the iBook from a USB optical drive.)

OWC sells drives for most iBooks but they are not cheap. What model and specs are your iBooks?
