Early 2012 13" MBA Core i5 1.8 GHz, 4GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, OS X 10.7.4
Why did Apple change the power adapter on the 2012 MBA? The one on my mid 2011 MBA really stayed on well and very rarely got yanked off. It was a new design that kept the bulk of the plug from sticking so far out. Now they have gone back to the older model but it isn't the same size.

They made it slimmer (top to bottom) in order to accommodate the smaller chassis of the new MacBook Pro 15" and they probably did it to the MBA for the sake of consistency. I guess. It is a pain. I don't like how the cord sticks straight out. I also have two Thunderbolt Displays that now need to have the adapters attached and about half the time when I go to disconnect they sort of come apart. Oh well. Progress? But it is not the end of the world.
