Clock etc does not show in menu bar

The clock sound and moonitor do not show in the menu bar. I have clicked show in the menu bar in all 3 elements in the preferences pane but cannot put a tick in the sound one. I even locked the date and time but it will still not show

Open System Perferences and then date and time. Go to the Clock TAB and make sure show date and time is checked. That should do it.
