Minecraft makes mac run hot

WHen try to play Minecraft on my Mac it makes it warm up really hot and destroys my battery... Will lowering the video settings help? Anything to help keep it cool? Thanks

You should probably play games while plugged in. As you've come to learn, games take quite a few resources and will burn through that battery power.

It's a similar story with the heat - because the game uses quite a few resources, the notebook will generate a lot more heat. This is inevitable. Just keep it well ventilated - don't use it on soft surfaces such as your lap, on a couch or in your bed.
