Onyx

Hi guys, I recently downloaded Onyx to use for system cleaning and maint. After

downloading, I went to the site to register and was suppose to receive an email to activate

the account. Never received the email from Titanium. Checked and the email address I

gave them was correct. So as of right now I have Onyx but cannot use it. Any ideas on

how to get it activated????? Thanks

Onyx is a free download...and is pretty much fully activated when you download it...so I'm not sure why you're having problems.

Of course for folks that download it for free...and like the program...sending a "donation" or buying it is always a great idea!

Well this is the situation. I had to download Onyx 2.0.6 since I have Leopard version

10.5.8 and when I open up Onyx it does not give me any options to use the cleaning or

maint. part of the app which is why I downloaded it in the first place. It just has 5 options:

OnyX.pkg which I have already installed, Web site webloc, Forums webloc, Email.mailoc

and the Uninstall app .So how would I use it for the purpose that I downloaded it for?

Run the OnyX.pkg file - this is the installer. Once that's done, you will find OnyX in your Applications folder.

Are you downloading from this page?:

Since you mentioned that you are downloading the version for Leopard...did you see the message on the download page which says..."OnyX only runs from an Administrator account."

It would seem that if you are not running the computer from the Admin. account...then Onyx would not work.

Installed again and it is now working!!!! Thanks!!! What parts of Onyx are commonly used? Ans yes I am running the system from the administrative account.
